Like fraternal twins, you can tell them apart. Yet they have important similarities, including the fact they are both green.
No, they aren’t people.
They are new nonprofit organizations dedicated to building environmentally friendly businesses, communities, jobs and classrooms in Nashville. And both grassroots groups — Urban Green Lab in Inglewood and Green Loop in North Nashville — are getting ready to launch capital campaigns with hopes of opening their doors to the public in 2012.
Both projects already have substantial support from business, community and government leaders and have received pro-bono help from prominent law and architectural firms. The rubber will meet the road when they start officially raising money — $1.5 million for Urban Green Lab and about $1 million for Green Loop......
